Default 169th Tank Brigade is being reactivated for RO:HoS

Greetings, Tovarich!

The Red Army's 169th Tank Brigade is now recruiting brave soldiers to defend the Motherland in the upcoming RO:HoS. Tankers and infantrymen alike are desperately needed! Do your part for your country! Defend the Motherland!

We are a unit modeled after the 169th Tank Brigade from WWII and have our roots reaching back to the honorable 181st Tank Brigade, a realism unit for Red Orchestra. Since then, we have grown into a multi-game group of like minded players who enjoy the company, camaraderie, and coordination of an organized unit. Although we are no longer a strictly "realism" unit for Red Orchestra, or RO:HoS, we are open to both styles of play.

Our unit offers competent and mature members, fun and relaxed fellowship, and a challenging tactical environment to enjoy with comrades in the Brigade as well as with all the other units/clans we meet in battle.

Stop by our website (www.169gc.com) and say hello in the forums! If you have any questions, our members would be willing to help you out. Otherwise, feel free to contact me on Steam (SteamID: Crazyeyes24).

We also maintaine a Teamspeak server (info at: http://www.169gc.com/teamspeak). Newcomers are always welcome to drop in and get in a few games with our players, come on in!

Like what you see? Enlist today and prepare to fight back against the German invaders!

See you on the battlefield!

MdSzt. Sergei
169th Tank Brigade

Yep, Yaro and Kliment are still the head honchos, and we have a few new chaps in line as well for RO:HoS.

Good luck guys!

I remember fighting your unit in the Barbarossa campaign, on Elnya, very fun battle indeed! I am looking forward to more like it.

When I was in the 2.SS you 181st guys were constantly our enemies and beat us into pulp. But now I get to stand beside you as a comrade and brace against the Fascist tide! The 10th NKVD supports you, gentlemen.

(too bad I'll never get to satchel Viktor's command tank again)

Lemme go spring Vlad outta' jail, sober him up a little, and get him back down into Kristine's driver's hole.

We got some rust to rub off, but we're in.

Thats because all the 181st tankers were all former 2.SS tankers... haha. The good ones anyways.

I remember when Stahl charged Viktor's SU-76 in a fully loaded HT.

That match sucked.

That was a lovely sight indeed.

Nice to see that we will have some new allies this go-round.

As Sergei has mentioned we are currently recruiting those that wish to join the Allies. We do have a website www.169gc.com/RO The link will take you right to the heart of our RO activities.

I would like to add that we are not just a realism unit and do have an interest in tournament/ladder play as well. (just can't shake the Redtide fun).

I look forward to seeing you on the field.

I have a very unfun memory of being in a Panther on Arad in a certain EFO match.

Lambrecht and I snuck up on your IS-2 and planted 2-3 shots in your side... your rocked to face us put me in the red and I backed up and shot twice more with no avail... then you blew me up.

I remember that. We followed your smoke trail to finish you guys off.

That was Vlad and my 12th "kill" of that match and it put us past Luchan in our "Which tank crew has killed the most enemy tanks in one match" race.

Finding out later you were in the Panther made it even sweeter.

See ya' around the playground!
