Default New boss and flying things

What about put 2 or 3 new bossés in the game - and then let them come random on maps??

Maybe put som flying creatures in as well - crawlers inside buildings and flying creatures outside - maybe like the female vampires in the movie Van Helsing...

No........ No flying specimens it would require specific maps... and more bosses im up for but more like semi bosses on a, i guess a staged map... such as three mini bosses then the patriarch but never a new boss, no one can match the patriarch :/ hes beautiful

Actually, if you created a very small batlike creature, they could easilly fly around inside buildings too. I mean, bats do live in caves and old buildings.

It would be a pain trying to hit such a small specimen tho.

Also, to keep in the storyline (clones and such) it should look something like this:

The Flying Blob

Why? To make the game easier? As if it wasnt easy enough already.

Its been easy for the past year lol.................. (Husk just made less fleshys xD!!!)
i personally think KF's challenge is too find a good team. Im sorry to say a team of rambos fails really quickly or playing with people with the reactions of a mental patient :/

adding flying specimens would make SOOOOOOOO many known high up exploit areas (ones that make maps vulnerable for de-whitelising and break maps) obsolete.

though it sounds hard to do with the ue2.5 engine

Don't know if the flying thing would work. But I have often thought a few new bosses would be sweet. And its just random which boss you get at the end of the match. Patty is kewl.. but getting boring.

YES, ppl couldnt camp on top of objects anymore without having to fear air raid LOL. Altho as you said, might not be that easy to code with the current engine. They might be able to create flying things, but wether they would actually work without getting stuck everywhere...

There are 2 ranged specimens in the game atm, not counting the bloat. The problem is tho, that you can actually avoid siren scream simply by going behind an object which makes a little sense since its sound and should reach you unless you are behind a thick wall and a safe distance away from it (but places where you just sit behind a pillar and avoid the attack is ridiculous). Husk instead, Ive noticed it cant actually attack players directly. It always needs a surface to shoot at, floor or a wall. So, if you are camping on, lets say a flagpole, the husk simply cant hit you because there is no surfaces to attack on. The fireball seems to go through the players completely.

Thats why we need a specimen whos attack cant be countered by going behind a box or by sitting on a flagpole. Or a specimen who can either jump or climb on higher objects. Or teleport O_o. There was actually a suggestion about it just a while back, a specimen who could teleport short distances, even through doors. Naturally he could even teleport on top of objects players are camping on. Maybe give him a secondary ability of pushing players so he could teleport behind you and push you off the edge in the middle of that horde of zeds xD

Well in UT2k4's 'Invasion' game mode there were flying monsters, and hovering ones that shot fireballs at you.

true. perhaps someone could rip the coding from that and re-model and re-code something for KF?

The invasion monsters have been around since 1997... Young people don't know Unreal.

The monsters that fly are:
RazorFly

Manta

Gasbag

The terrible Warlord

Its no way hard to make things fly, all you have to do is take away their gravity and they chase you no matter what.

Buy Unreal 1 now and experience unreal engine 1, the superior engine of doom.

I play UT99 monster hunt all the time. I dunno why I forgot about the flying monsters.

but does that necessarily mean it's possible in KF?

I suppose so, but since the maps havent been designed for flying creatures, it might be that they wouldnt work very well in certain maps.

LOL I would like to see a flying creature so small that it could fit through those small holes/windows in the doors (for example in Biotics lab).
