The restaurant by the gothic cathedral with all the gargoyles in Caen (l'Auberge?) is absolutely fantastic. If you make the effort to speak French, however badly, they really appreciate it and look after you well.

Normandy food is the best there is - spesh the seafood.

Yeah ended up having Moules Frites for lunch on sunday within 50 yards of the dockside where the boat had brought them in. Was tres yummeh!

I love the dynamic weather by the coast and the great light in Normandy. Makes for some great photo opportunites.

Side of a bus stop that looks like a matchbox (changed exposure, cropped & added border).

EDIT: what the hell, it added black pixels all over the middle part of the photo? Must be an ACDSee or Photoshop thing, the hi-res version doesn't have that. Oh well, I'll fix it later.

I gotted myself some light stands, umbrellas, and a few more off camera flashes so I can play with strobist lighting setups. Haven't done much with it yet.

Otherwise I haven't been doing much photographing lately. Plus, scanners and such just do not do slide films any justice at all

Just got back my first film from a new camera (Nikon FG-20 35mm SLR). Not the first film I have shot with it, that was a slide film which I should get back early next week, and will upload when I do.

First set of Pics are from Normandy

Bayeaux

Utah Beach

And a couple random shots taken in Bristol this morning

Apologies for any duplication. I often retake a shot I like with a different camera/film to see if I can get anything more interesting.

In this set of photos and my next post all images were taken with a Nikon FG-20 (35mm film SLR). This set using using Fujichrome Sensia (colour slide film).

And the rest. As above, shot with a Nikon 35mm SLR but with Ilford XP2 (Black and White film).
