I've been hosting listen servers for mates, 4-5 players and most often it crashed at a higher wave or at a place where there was a lot of action.
I googled the crash reports, got a lot of hits at these forums and elsewhere. I was sure it was about my PC set up or similar. But no, after I started hosting dedicated server it has never happened. Today I tried listen server and it crashed again. A friend hosted long suicidal manor, and crashed on wave 5 as well. Listen server. He had never had a crash before, as he never had hosted a server. The crash messages vary, most often they are: General protection fault! History: SkeletalMeshGet <- USpriteEmitter::UpdateParticles <- AEmitter::Tick <- TickAllActors <- ULevel::Tick <- (NetMode=3) <- TickLevel but they're also various 3drenderer errors often. So tip for all gamers: use dedicated servers instead, you can join your own server. And for developers if they haven't yet looked into the issue, try to play a long hard game on a listen server with 5 peole. See if you can play it through. |
