No... that would be awsome if it did though. The map is there to show time zones.

Radios, eh?

I don't have pics atm, but I have a Vertex VX170, several Bearcat 898Ts with a special discriminator tap and a ICOM V8000. They're gathering dust from my glory days.

Mine is really innovative, it has a clock!

May not be as awesome as Pavel's, but it gets me up in the mornings.

Putz you a ham? I am too.
I am starting to restore the Hallicrafters SX-28. I put all new capacitors in and fired it up. It was amazing... night and day. The radio was so sensitive and selective. But then a minute later a 280K resistor failed thereby making a capacitor fry and caused the disconnected from chassis ground to start smoking. Tomorrow I will replace the resistor with a new 300K and replace the cap. Then I hope all will work. I will be going to an auto paint shop to have them color match the original color of the cabinate. I also ordered laquer sticks for the lettering on the front.

The old wax paper capacitors... very unreliable...

Fried resistor and capacitor...

Homemade power supply tube...

Tube Checker!
