Default A Score Tab that we need.




New items:

-Damage dealt: this was already mentioned in other posts. It's not only the kill count that matters. Firebugs would finally get some credit. Can be updated every 10 seconds or only at the end of each wave, if frequent update would cause bandwidth problems.

-Boss Dmg: Damage to Patriarch. This can appear at the final score tab only. Nice to know who nailed the bastard.

-Time: player's time on this server. 50 kills in one minute means more than 100 kills in five.

-National flag: just for social reasons. Doesn't have to be ip-tracked, it could be just set in player's profile.

Did I miss something?

Like it. Like to suggest Damage Healed and Damage Taken, healing being obvious why but damage taken can show if someone is being really useless or in some cases like a good berserker and helping soak up damage instead of letting other people get nailed.

The only thing I could add that wasn't suggested would be accuracy. I know in the larger scope of things it doesn't matter but it would be neat to see.

I'd like to see accuracy. Because I'm tired of some one playing the same class, acting like they are so skilled when they empty out their weapons in the first half of the wave and saying I suck cause I have ammo at the end of the wave

The guy talking about not needing to see is partially right but the quick scoreboard is useful for medics. I know people that like to hang out in the general area of the group so I memorize where there at then just tab and see that someones hurt and go heal them. I could survive without but it would just be a burden on medics. I would like this scoreboard during the trader time though like I don't know how hard it would be to code but if it was easier you could due like 5 seconds after the trader round starts you can see and 5 seconds before it ends it goes away so as to not lag the game as stuff is spawning and have that go away?

Perhaps I was mistake but I thought his scoreboard was supposed to replace the standard scoreboard when a player hits tab. If it wasn't meant to be like that I misunderstood.

However, if the scoreboard suggested just took the place of the stock one you get to see when you hit tab it would be perfect. It would only come up when you wanted to see it thus avoiding any problems with being able to see when playing. To avoid lag problems if calculating damage on the fly is too much just have the damage get updated at the end of every wave during trader time...again clicking tab to view it.

Well, accuracy is kinda problematic. See, for example noob sharpshooters with M14 are unloading half of mag in gorefast's chest from 2 meters to bring it down - 100% shots in target, crappy performance. A decent one aims in heads and misses 25% of the time.

Also, demolitions and firebugs can have 100% acc (cause they always catch something in their weapon's damage radius) and still suck at taking down specimen.

So, efficiency stat (number of attacks : number of kills maybe) would be more helpful than raw accuracy. But then, berserkers swinging their katanas between waves out of boredom, would have it at crappy 10% :P

I'd love to have the UI presented in the OP. Damage healed/taken would be neat to see, also. Might be nice to have a "Cash" column as well.

Well i believe trackers only count shots that are on target of live zeds. For example lets say a spamming sharpie fired 5 shots into a clot. Trackers, I believe, would give credit for the 1st 2 shots: one to weaken one to kill...the remaining 3 shots would be tracked as misses due to the fact the zed was no longer alive.

Demo and FB would be harder to manage/adjust for. Ideas?!?!

I'm not talking about firing to dead, collapsing enemies. On suicidal with many players gorefasts cant take 10 shots to the chest and still be in pretty good shape.

And about counting first two shots only - it would suck to be a commando then

A new scoring method would be a step in the right direction for this game. I think it would be great to see headshot count, dmg, etc.

Yeah I realize it's a simple game for the most part, kill the zombies, but being too simple can feel pretty monotonous at times.

I like this idea.

However, I don't think healing needs to be displayed for everyone.

Just put the personal healing value at the bottom left in small text or something.

trolls will always get uppity about SOMETHING. no point in trying to deter that.

When you play killing floor you find out soon that running around on your own isn't a very good idea. So if someone is ditching the team to get high stats he will probably die off. And if people don't like playing with him they can ban/kick.

And you know what kind of people will get uppity and elitist? Uppity elitist people that go rogue anyway....

The fact that our stats show kills, gives people a reason to do more killing then their teammates already doesn't it? So what's wrong with diversifying the information it tracks....

You might not want to add all these things in the score board, but it would be nice if you could open up a larger statistics table somewhere which included pretty much everything from headshots to damage healed and taken.
