Update to fix hitches/freezes

We have just released an update for Killing Floor with fixes for a couple of outstanding issues:

• Fixed the game crashing during startup on Windows 2000
• Fixed the game hitching or freezing when seeing each type of specimen for the first time

Erm... Windows 2000?

Perhaps you could check out the throw a nade and it SHOWS it going elsewhere but blows you up bug.

i always thought this was just my computer. guess not.

also, to anyone thinking about making "who the hell uses windows 2000 anymore?" remarks. it's still one of the most stable operating systems available and many people still use it. this is a pre-emptive stfu.

This update ruined my game. It took only 4 minutes, but after it when I run the game it automactly downloaded a file named "kf_freaks_trip". It took 2 hours and now when I try to join any game it displays:

Failed launching URL
package 'engine' version mismatch

What can I do?

Simply restarting Steam could clear this up for you, but it sounds like things only partially updated. If that doesn't work, please try clicking "Verify integrity of game cache" in the Properties in Steam for Killing Floor under the Local Files tab.

Hey guys,

first thanks for the suberb support!

But i just updated to version 1.011 and after that a was unable to connect to any server. I played the last time this morning ans all worked perfectly fine.
After the update...nothing!
All Firewalls are disabled and as i sad, i worked till the new update

Anyone else with that problem??

Hey if you guys could check it out, I get the same bug many times when I play, and I know I can avoid it but I am over anxious and hate this happening;

The Bug; If I am pressing forward when the round starts (I am anxious and impatient, I know), my character goes into 3rd person mode, I lose all of my non-standard weapons, and I get unlimited grenades. I cannot get of of third person view, the monsters dissapear/become invisible, and I die. Wait. I live for a small fate decided amount of time and then I inevitably die.

Any help?

As far as I can tell, this didn't take effect. At least not on Solo mode.

still no luck connecting to a server! Am I the only one with that prob? Cant belive it!

disabled all firewall (work before 1.011 perfecly fine)

Its bad to buy a game and forced by a update to side und wait for...
