Hey, Red Orchestra community. Long time, no see. What have I missed?
Anyways, I was playing on the =TaT= 24/7 Danzig server some minutes ago (I'm a regular there; we need more US servers with a stock map rotation, care to point me to one?) and I was pretty much the only one besides an Assault Trooper who left after the second round and some commander named Drecks. So, I'm running around, going from objective to objective and I see that people are running around, hipshooting everything. I even landed a few lucky ones on the Germans wielding StG44's. One occurence that struck me funny was that some Assault Trooper with the magic gun (StG44, go figure) came blazing away through the shop windows (the one closest to the West Bridgehead) while I was cowering behind the counter. Decided to make a move and ironsighted him through the window. Either he didn't know how to aim or was hipshooting, pretending to be Rambo. Now, the kills were what bothered me. Snipers got the most, while me and a few fortunate ones won the game two or three times (the serve has three rounds per map). I ended up with an all-time score of 153. Most of them from objectives; hardly 15 of them from kills. Bolt-action rifle FTW.
Long story short, I get angry when people don't know how to play, yet it turns out to be a more fun experience than those who know how to play. Like on this Russian server....those Ruskies are damn good at this game. I'm jealous.
