Default Torso clot

Anyone think that clots should be able to keep crawling towards you with their hands if they get the legs blown off?

That would be so cool. But it would require new meshes and animations, so I donīt see it happening =(

That would be sick, reminds me of the torso zombie from hl2, maybe they should just add a completely new type of zombie/specimen that can be mutilated without dying, maybe a tough version of the clot. headshots w'ont do, it will continue to survive unless you rip it completely apart or something, i can imagine the slow crawling clot like zombie crawling after you, terminator style, all sketchy and ****. or one all spazmatic zombie flailing its armless torso, sprinting after you and trying to bite you while you say: "Swallow THIS!" *Boom* another one bites the dust.

Well, they're not actually zombies, but since they can function for a little while without a head, I guess it'd be ok if they crawled after you for a little while before they bled out. They could still keep you from moving for a little while.

i'd like to see some good elements of every of my favorite zombie survival games put into this game, since this game depicts a near future, or the present, you could easily think of a way of explaining each specimen's relativity to reality, each is explained: either by genetic manipulation, surgery (stalker, crawler and bloat) splicing and the amalgamy of body parts, additive of implants and cybernetic parts, (gorefast, fleshpound and skrake) efficient and disposeable cloning (clots). most specimens stay in these categories, leaving endless posibilities, because a regenerating or decapitatable zombie (crawling and limb losing survival zombie) could be the cause of genetic modification, causing regenerative properties, it could still stay in the realms of this fictive reality.

If someone were to add a crawling model for the clot, it'd be interesting. I kinda wish there was a specimen that could ONLY be killed by a headshot, ala the classic romero zombies...

Or if there were actual zombies in the game instead of clone mutants.

Good idea, but only OK if it'd happen seldom enough to not add too much to the horrible annoyance of crawlers. The knee-level enemies, while realistic, make things alot more complicated. Crawlers always do me in when there are crowds, just cause I don't see them. Crawling clots might be the same problem.

i think if we refer to the crawling zombies from hl2, they would be hell slow, not really a threat but would give them a chance to repent for they're failure at killing you, making the clots or other humanoid/anthropromorphic zombies (excluding crawlers) more of a threat and giving you more of a scare factor than anything else. But only if you shoot they're legs off, so other than that you might be able to kill them normally, grenades might make some torso clots, but i'd think it would be rare.

I'd also like to see a zombie that can sustain fire damage indefinitely, maybe it would catch on fire and scream and sprint after you, only if you light it, so the flamethrowers could not go stir crazy, i got this idea form zombie master, the immolator, it f***ing makes me **** myself every time.

In Episode 2 ( and maybe 1, it's been a while so I don't know ), there's a fast zombie torso in a place or two that moves hella fast but is pretty weak. Something like that, I think, would be acceptable - a clot that can drag itself along the ground, is even easier to kill than the crawler, and is nothing more than a pain to the players trying to kill other enemies.

the torso clot is supposed to be a nuisance. not a real threat. it'd probly take like, 1 pop from the 9mm to kill it. plus it's just one more thing to gib when you fire that LAW.
