Game patching itself everytime when using "Join game" button

Hello there.

I have noticed lately that if I use "Join game" feature in chat window (right click on avatar -> join game), the game seems to update itself every time and reset settings aswell.

(for illustration about what 'join game' button I am talking about)

Anyone else experiencing\had experienced something similiar or is this just very rare and random issue?
