Red Orchestra

I havent been able to find any discussion on this topic, if there is, give me a link.

I was curious why the name "Red Orchestra" was used for this game. It does involve the Russians, but from my understanding the RO was the name for two Communist resistance rings in Nazy-occupied Europe during WWII. Whats the connection?
