Default England reference?

I don't live in England and I haven't been there in over ten years, but I'd like my maps to look properly English, since that is the setting of this game.

I'm mainly concerned about urban areas, since the North American style of cities that I'm familiar with is rather different from English/British cities. I'd like to stay consistent with the setting of the game rather than have our English heroes and trader suddenly appear somewhere other than the UK. I guess labs, offices, and the like look the same pretty much anywhere, unlike cities.

Can anyone suggest references that show lots of British cities? I've been watching Shaun of the Dead and 28 Days Later for references, but any more would be helpful.

Of course, there's the WestLondon map also, but I don't want my maps to be too similar to it, so other references would be helpful.

http://www.locationworks.com/library/alpha.php

Nearly every photo on that website (must be in the 10 thousands) is based in London.

wow thats an awesome photo resource raidenator.

another option is http://maps.google.co.uk/ use streetview, you just zoom into the london area, then drag the little person icon on the zooming scale over to where you want to see from.
