I dont need a active gun at the moment, nor do i want one in my house, mainly due to the mother. All i want to be able to do is be able to use insert rounds. Ill have another look at it in the morning.

I am no legal expert on UK laws, what you're doing does sound illegal.

IMO, leave it alone.

If you want to play with inert rounds, get a real one and leave it at the gun club (pretty sure that would be an option).

Also, if you didn't earlier in the thread, post pics of it.

Took it to the range Thursday. Shooting to the left.

Will likely go tomorrow. Hopefully this time it will be on target.

Not seeing anything.

Shot another 40 rounds today. Adjusted the sight one click, and now it shoots to the right.

Two other people had some high end AR-15s. Makes mine feel plain.

The next things I will get is a .22LR conversion kit and a Primary Arms Aimpoint clone.

How many Finns you already have? Well, you canīt have too many of them.

Is this one with original war-time stock? Is that cartouche or a ding on the stock?

I wish it was bit easier here in their homeland to collect in large scale. I really envy you Americans in this part of your legistlation.

As you said you can't have too many! All I need now is a '45 and I'll have one from each year of the first run (except for 1940). All of mine are on pre-99 receivers so legally they aren't even rifles here!

I believe this one was assembled post war to begin with. It's a pretty high number, and doesn't appear to be a re-blue. A lot of them in it's serial number range are built the same way.

Still can't see it on the other page.

This has been happening a lot recently (can't view pictures). Is there something I am missing? I am using Firefox.

Check through all of your options... no problems here with FF 3.5.5

Those Finn rifles are like a boat anchor, heavier then a Garand.

The weight doesn't bother me. It's about a pound, if that. If I was a soldier lugging it around all day I'd get tired of it quick, but just shooting it ain't that big of a deal.

Of course I'm 6'4" tall, and 200 pounds. So that could have something to do with it.

The weight difference with many Finn Mosins (m24, m28/30, m39) compared to m91/30 is about 300 grams. Not a big deal really. And M1 weights at least as much, since the minimum weight of M1 is 4,3 kg.

Idk, I have a M91/30 and M39, and the M39 feels quite a bit heavier. Atleast with the Garand I'm getting semi automatic. Just pick up a Springfield 1903 and M39, the Springfield feels like a toy compared to it.

Maybe itīs the thick and robust stock of M39 which gives the impression of it being much heavier than M91/30. Itīs true that M91/30 feels so slim compared to M39.

I'm always amazed at how light and handy the 91/30 feels given it's length. Haven't handled an M39 though, they're very rare (and expensive) over here.

I'll disagree with you about the 91/30's weight.

Then again, I've never held any other rifle that is of that size.

It's longer than my m/96, but about 3/4 or less the weight.
