how the f!@k do u join games that friends are hosting

ok heres the deal. i've got issues with joining friends for a simple game of kf. i've got a friend who is trying to host with friends only. is this possible. so far he has to join a server which is available only to be full up of other people or i cant join because he show as not currently in a server which is bull. is there anyway way to do this. i am fed up with this all these issues of not playing with friends that have the game. so far i've played a full 5 minutes with a friend only to die and not play with him again. how do u invite friends only? get back to me before i ask for my money back.

Make sure that they have thier router forwarding the correct ports and they have Windows Firewall permitting the KF ports as well.
