Cool rendering! the guy on the Tripwire forum xperimenting was TT33.
For shure he proves it works but without stall.l guess calculating weather
would be the ultimate challenge i guess for both UE3 engine and code-wise
with serveroverload and stuff.
Maybe we will be 70 when all of the scenario is presented in a realistic way
(as u mentioned in an earlier post).

Planes would not be a good idea for many reasons.

1) It takes a lot of effort to model a plane realistically. Everything from the flight model, cockpit, damage model ect. It will take a lot of effort to do.

2) I doubt they will be modeled that realistically. And it would seem odd and inconsistent to have simulation level detail in the infantry combat and weapons, but then have undetailed aircraft.

3) Map size. The maps are far too small. A 10x10 mile map would be extremely small for a flight game, especially one that strives for realism and attention to detail.

Someone brought up a good point about having only a small part of the map being playable for infantry and tanks, but it would not work well from a gameplay perspective. If the planes are off fighting in an area where the other units can not interact with them, then what is the point? You might as well be playing a different game.

It is best to leave out planes in RO. Maybe they can have AI planes that act like artillery.

I don't know about you guys, but I'd like planes.

Maybe in a map like Orel, with planes and tanks, with the Infantry just hitching rides on tanks.

That might be fun.

At this point, I think that the above sums it up best.

Kinda like how the attack helicopters are controlled by the AI in COD4, they should be used as a way of getting air support.
