Default Burning Sands Tournament

Hello and welcome to the Mare Nostrum: Burning Sands Tournament (BST). The tournament is officially supported by Sandstorm Productions, the team behind the mod and has been organised and will be run in association with ROLeague.

Burning Sands pits you in highly organised battles, using all the battle locations and equipment of Mare Nostrum. The aim of the tournament is simple; using teamwork and strategy help your army to gain as many territorial points as possible, and the side that holds the most territorial points at the end of the campaign wins the war.

Will you be fighting with the determined Italian and German Axis armies, or enlisting into the mighty British Commonwealth to turn the tide of the war?

Burning Sand Features
  • Free to play
  • Massive organised 50 player engagements every week
  • Join a team and follow them throughout the course of a campaign
  • Communicate in battle with the use of Ventrillo to maximum effect
  • Strategise in your team forum to outwit the enemy
  • Earn awards and medals in recognition for your service and achievements
  • Serve or lead your team in a realistic chain of command
For more information click the poster below to be taken to the Burning Sands webpage.

Sounds just like iron crescendo. Except with limited maps.

Q: How do you plan to run teams? ranks etc or first come first play?
Q: How do you plan to stop double teaming?
Q: How do you plan on balancing maps?

You should really speak with Keser_Soze as he has been running a large tournament for a while.

GLHF.

A: People apply to be a team commander. We then pick one from the applicants, people then apply within the teams for sub-commander roles to their team commander, who again chooses the best.

A: You mean playing for both teams?

I'll probably try it out, although usually i end up not being able to take the absolute hatery that ends up getting there on campaigns that only consist of 2 teams. Although its probably an absolute test for MN wether the spawnprotection works correctly.

Yes indeed. As its the first time we have run a campaign we expect there to be some teething problems first time round. However we ask that any participants give us some constructive feedback so we can improve it for campaign 2.
