Default Question

Hey all!

Someone can point me to this utility that keeps you from downloading custom maps every time you join a server that is running them?

Thanx in advance!

If you're asking for some program that stops you from downloading the maps outright, I'm not sure there is one.

Just hit F10, that cancels the download and disconnects you.

If it downloads something and you don't want it to, disconnect. If you don't download it, you won't be able to play. Its sending you the correct files for that map and/or sever...

Did he mean the program that copies the cache files into the normal folders so he doesn't have to redownload all the stuff again?

If your worried about your HD getting clogged up with RO custom map files, which I'm guessing is the reason you want to prevent downloads, then don't worry as the map files automatically get deleted from the folder after a while, saving you having to go through and delete them yourself. Hope this helps.

The benefits are that you dont have to do it by hand?
It does it all for you. First time you run it it will ask for the cache folder. after that it will never ask
for it again, if you extractit to a folder, and gets a chance to save config.dat . You just click on it
and click on da "button" instead of painfully manually moving and renaming those files, or having to re-download the maps every once in a while.
