Default UT3 Demo released!!! Crazy optimized too...

It seems that UT3 is among the best optimized games out there... Well people trying the demo are very very positive...

Now, concerning RO... How far are we from a port to the UT3 engine.. I mean you devs hav had it for a while and probably knows alot about the engine already.. Or?

Are you planning for a port if you aren't planning continuing working on the same theme as Ostrfront??? Im very excited to see what the new Engine can do with RO...

Nobody knows anything about the new game beside the devs themselves.

They cant tell you how far they are along unless the "company" decides to release info. It will be on UE3 and people that like ro will like that game. Thats all the info they shared. It might be a space game, or a tyrannosaurus hunter game, ore anything in between.

lol well i doubt many of the current RO player would like it if the next game by TW went all sci fi on us...most shooters are sci fi in nature...

I don't think their is a "next-gen" multiplayer WW2 shooter to be proud of yet...MOH:Airborne was dissapointing in multiplayer, the CoD series is going modern, and the next battlefield is sticking with a near future-modern...

So I think the market is wide open in terms of the competition for WW2 shooters, hopefully they stick with this imo, even if it is broadened to include the other theatres.

The next BiA title (Brother's in Arms: Hell's Highway?) is being created with the UT3 engine. Supposedly out before the end of this year. We'll see..

Frontline: Fuel of War is also UE3, and it looks really good on highest settings.

The reason that there aren't many WW2 shooters out there is because the genre has been utterly tapped and is chafing :P

but there are no sci-fi shooters with a realistic gameplay

shooting an alien does not necessarily force a crosshair in the center of your screen

well there is a second topic talking about the game itself. This one is more about the technical whatsits about UT.

It seems to me that it's decreasing load time by loading the textures like some .jpg s. It says "play" and there are still some rough textures, but they soon give way to whatever you have it set on. What's really awesome is that the maps are loading faster than comparable sized 2k4 maps .
