Can't install catalyst!

Hello,

I wanted to install catalyst 7.8 but in the "detecting hardware"-stage it kinda freezes at a specific point, or at least he doesn't continue anymore, when I want to cancel he doesn't close it either, I have to use task manager. It also doesn't make any different whether i click on express installation or custom. When I click on uninstall he's creating a list of what I want to uninstall and freezes at that stage. Same happens with the BioShock fix patch. 7.7 and all catalysts before work without any problems however. I also contacted AMD support but they don't seem to know anything really either. So I was wondering if anyone here had the same problem and knows how to solve it? Thanks

.Net Framework installed?

Try Disabling AntiVirus before Installing Catalyst.

.Net Framework comes with Vista and disabling AntiVir didn't change anything either
