Default Question

I do not know to which category this question fits, so I am placing it here - in tactics.

It may be riddiculous, that I am asking now, after few years of playing RO, but first really long-range official tank map is comming jus now...

So the Q:
Is some sort of range modificator implemented ingame? Playing BlackDay makes me feel, that does not matter hitting my enemy in 100meters and in 1000meters - in both times I usualy need 2 shots to destroy enemy- Yes it depends on facing/angliong; aiming to "weakpoints" like ammostorage; overall armor rating of enemy tank and AP power of my gun, but I did not noticed, that range has effect.
