cube map

Hi, I have been messing around with a cube map using a tutorial i found , I am alittle confused about taking the pictures and where they get stored . The tutorial says to press 0 and f9 then 1and f9..... first do i go into spectate mode and take pictures and where do the picters get stored. thanks
