Default No local channel available

Hello,

here is my first post:
I installed a Red Orchestra Server and it runs fine. But if want to switch to local or public channel i get an servermessage that these channels doesn't exists.
The Team-channel works.
I think i enabled all option in the ini right.
Maybe someone can help with this.

I figured out an workaraound myself.

You have to set Steam to English. The channels doesn't work if the gamelanguage is other that english.
Perhaps this is a bug.
Hopefully this will be fixed in future.

I have had this also brought to my attention aswell.
Where did you set it to english? your game or the server

In the options of steam.
Now all Steamgames are english
I hope it will be fixed soon.

This is, if you have an other language installed, then english. And it's a bug. To resolve the problem do the following:

1.)
Search the File "UnrealGame.det" (without the quotes). It should be in your local game directory "...\red orchestra\system\"

2.)
Search for "PublicChannelNames=" - it should be in the section "[TeamVoiceReplicationInfo]"

3.)
If you have the german language installed, it looks like

PublicChannelNames=("Öffentlicher","Lokaler","Team ")

simply change that to

PublicChannelNames=("Public","Local","Team")

save the changes and you will be able to change the channels now!


Guess, I should send a bug report to Trip Wire...

It didn't work.
Because Steam downloads the .det file again.
So this edit has to be made from Triplewire.
