Well I been putting my money where my mouth is and plugging away at making my first map.
First up I like to thank the Tripwire team for allowing me to use their textures and building ahhaha. But I have a couple of questions, and I have full researched these things so I not coming in lightly. Sunlight Actors: I have 3 like most of the retail maps, set in my skybox area, abd i have a snowy ground. Issue is i want to create a bright day, but whenever i get it bright enough for the buildings to look like it is atleast 11am in the day not 6am in the morning. The white snow seems to bloom out into one gigantic hotspot. Any idea or clues how i can get the sunlight actors to work in the snow at full daytime. --------------------------------------------- Strange Light Spots: Strange texture lights, I had a small crater texture that I was using, but for some reason these textures are light up like a big spot light is on them. --------------------------------------- First Box too small. I made my world box too small I think, where my terrain sits, is there a way in making this box bigger and allowing me to continue with the terrain, I did make the terrain bigger then the box and actually goes off into the distance, but when I enlarged the box, the edges of the terrain where the old box was is black and will not increase the base layer. Thanks for any help you can give. ------------------------------------------ Also on a side note is this a mapping option or need to be a program option. I am wanting to have a timer on spawn and also if the number of allied/axis deaths reaches a certain number to spawn. A bit like throwing a new squad in at once. |
