Thomson routers

Just a quick question , I and many others apparently had problems with this kind of router when playing Killing Floor , from memory they still had not fixed this , but I could be wrong.The problem was after one or two minutes your avatar would keeping running into a wall , only on multiplayer games.
I guess its hard to say at this point before the game is released , but do the devs think this problem could also affect connections to multiplayer games for RO2 , I will buy a new router if neccessary.

I would almost definitely say that it will be affected, as the problem with the router affects almost all multiplayer Steam games that use Valve's masterservers. There are two fixes that can be found in a sticky at the top of the Killing Floor tech support forum which should sort things out though.

I have a Thomson router (clouded in O2 firmware - some version of the TG585 I believe) and I get the issue with KF still occasionally (I seem to recall it was related to refreshing the server browser or some insanity!) - I do not get the issue with HOES.

There is a reason for that SheepDip - you aren't using the server browser.

Hmmm...good point, although every time I do launch the game and hit the buttons on it just in case but if it's not communitcating then...

Thanks for your replies , the problem was only with KF and LFD2 , will follow the instructions on the KF web site and see how I go.
