I don't suppose it will happen soon? I would hate to have it delayed again

it will start soon but the update possibly won't come out til 9 pm or earlier. It might be 7-9 pm somewhere in there.

I asked Yoshiro on twitter for an ETA and he said there's no updated ETA yet. They're still working on whatever bug they found that's messing up everything.

Be patient Bros,it's better wait some more time and have a Christmas Event without Bugs,than start the Event with many bugs to Fix and many players furious with the bugs .

Oh don't get your tryhard panties all twisted up. We'd ***** if they released a Christmas update that wasn't working properly (look at all the QQ about installing Dwarfs), so let's be glad they want to make sure it actually works before deploying it and having it pushed to our clients/ servers.

the way i see it, see the post i made about the news from a twi employee they already have fixed the bugs they are just working on servers for linux and whatever. thats all their doing the bug has been fixed already.
