Yeah and i tried some things to get rid of it.
Now i have removed all light bulbs and increased my ambient light and removed the sun actor. I keep on getting these dark area in the middle of a big field.... I guess there nothing more then start all over again. ![]()

As far as i can tell at looking at it, official maps use sunlight in the skybox. The weird dark areas result from the light radius of your light actors. Try increasing it drasticly or moving the light actor up or down and you should see the lit area alter. Rebuild and hopefuly the problem will be solved.
I had the same issue of a dark patch directly under the light actor but by increasing the radius and tweaking hte postion i managed to change it. |

I have sunlight outside and this won't even light my terrain.
In the Ogledow map i didn't found the sun actor. I i don't think i need to fill up my outside area with these lightbulbs or am i wrong ? I thought i have to use these light actors for the inside areas and the sunlight would lighten my outside area. Can someone confirm this. And iff so which values do i give this sun. |

I would try a process of elimination routine on the map. Save the map then select half of your map and delete it, rebuild all and see if the weird shadows are still there. Keep doing this until you can pinpoint what is causing the problem. Sometimes improperly placed BSP brushes can cast odd shadows across the map.

Thanks for the replies.
I had saved a previous version before this bug and i started to work on with that one. It works fine now and all it cost was some time. But the benefite is that it make you look twice to the stuff you make... |
