Ah - ok.

So the issue is not my internet connection in general, but the specific connection between me and the server. In which case speedhack may be falsely interpreting server-side bandwidth issues as client-side hacking. Maybe it's been coded backwards? :-)

Server-Side?? Highly doubtful with properly installed and setup Servers.

Underpowered servers and packet loss can contribute but by and large, the main fault is the user's router, internet connection and the route to the server.

I understrand, well, is not in Brazil now.

edit:
wait wait, is in Brazil, sorry, is arleady released in 2008, but here they only used the name, and for what i khow is almost the same broken thing like the 3G, well, we have one of the worst telephone connections in the world, so makes sense.

ro_sauce have found the issue with the speed Hacker detected problem, he set up a server to me to test, and he changed something in the server configuration:

``only thing i changed so far was mintimemargin=0, maybe testing different numbers/ settings in the other variables will help more?´´

The seting, make me don´t have more issues with Speed Hacking anymore in the server, and i could play a match without get banned.
He considered other changes in the server code:

here's what i found about the speedhack variables in the code:

/** Max interval that client clock is allowed to get ahead of server clock before triggering speed hack detection */
var globalconfig float MaxTimeMargin;

/** How fast we allow client clock to drift from server clock over time without ever triggering speed hack detection */
var globalconfig float TimeMarginSlack;

/** Clamps how far behind server clock we let time margin get. Used to prevent speedhacks where client slows their clock down for a while then speeds it up. */
var globalconfig float MinTimeMargin;

`ifdef(RO_)
/** When a client passes this number of speedhack detections, the server will do the SpeedHackPunishment */
var globalconfig int MaxSpeedhackDetections;

/** What to do when a detected Speedhacker crosses the MaxSpeedhackDetections threshold(0 = Kick, 1 = Session Ban, 2 = Permanent Ban) */
var globalconfig int SpeedhackPunishment;

But ultil now, only the ``mintimemargin=0´´ is enough to work

I am gonna tell about this in the forums, to make sure servers owners khow about this.

I kind of want that, but so many people tell this is not a problem, i need to see yoshiro or someone else of the tripware community to ask about.

When I get a "speed hack detected" message I simply stop movie until the notification disappears. Never get kicked and usually goes back to normal.
