Just taking a potshot in the dark here, but I got some nasty suspicions about you and content you aren't entitled to, and that's just from hearing your "opinion".
drama-queen, much? no one is going to starve for giving us what they told us we would get.
you really think a noob, is going to convince me, that i cannot give my opinion on this forum? think again. you're as wrong about that, as you are in every post of yours, i've read so far.
if you are insinuating that i pirate software, you can stick that in a dark place.

TWI has had a stance on not releasing DLC that gives others a gameplay advantage or splits the community(Example: COD Map packs). So far every paid DLC they have released in their games has been cosmetic, having no changes in gameplay. The only exception to this may be Rising Storm, but that is more of a full expansion/total conversion mod and won't give players advantages over each other.

I also suggest everyone disarm this argument, no more insults or snide comments. Take this as a warning.

Dont know about paid DLC, but one thing is for sure. TW should embrace the map makers out there and help get their work polished and into a downloadable package through steam. I guess if they can get a half a dozen new maps this way for nothing , I wouldnt mind paying what ever Steam would charge for my download if there is a charge. Pretty cheap , and much needed addition to the game imho.

i would not be against paying for paying for maps to help off-set the $10,000 prize twi's giving to the winner of the map contest. the problem is, everyone needs the maps. not just those who can/would pay for them. say a server had 64 people on it and a paid map comes up, if most haven't bought it, the server goes empty. we gotta be careful not to have anything that isn't available to everyone. the community is too small to handle that.

Just saying that I would GLADLY pay for new content, REAL content, not just maps, but new vehicles, weapons, class models etc.

Just about every developer these days take money for their DLC, and in my mind it's pretty fair, it takes effort to make content.

What are you guys thoughts on this?

Well, if you have money burning a hole in your wallet and want to throw it at TWI just buy extra copies of the game and give them away

They are going to keep on adding to the game in the form of maps, vehicles and maybe weapons (I think they hinted that)

I'm kinda a selfish person when it comes to DLC, I want it free but when you zoom out a bit you see CoD and BF packs being paid for with the same type of content (maps weapons vehicles) but for RO2, TWI actually gives you the assets to edit, and create your own maps out there, and make the game how you see it. So if you went by that logic (popularity of the games is not in this logic) then TWI's DLC would be decent enough to pay for.

But IMHO I think they should work with the community a bit more, steamworkshop could help, more tutorials and encouragement for mapping and mods.

Also if TripWire had to release paid DLC I'd just say cosmetic stuff would do. Like hoodies for snipers and hats for your riflemen (kidding). Seriously though what they did with KF was pretty cool, they released guns maps and events for free but they had purely optional, still silly and fun character packs for barely a buck outta your wallet.

Maybe that's what they should do, purely optional cosmetic items or something..

I would be open to it if they had fixed the squad system making it actually usable, and added the campaign/coop mode twi said was going to be in the game in the interviews before release. Now I'm patient, and these things weren't delivered at release. No biggie. But it's different one year later. As it is I refuse to pay for anything until I get the features I bought one year ago.

Pity, because I really want to support small independent developers with my money. But I do have to get what I pay or it will only get worse in the future, promising features and not delivering them.
