Default Red Orchestra 2, worth buying?

Hello!

As most of you know, the steam summer sales are currently running and RO2 is also on sale. I've played RO2 during the free weekend some time ago, and I did enjoy my time with it but I did not have any cash to burn at that time, so I decided to wait for a bit and see if it'd go on sale again.

Now the game is selling for €10,79 (or €14,99 for the deluxe edition) but I want to know if it's still worth picking up the game. Are there still enough (european) servers running or is this game slowly dying?

Also, can you unlock the SVT40/STG44/... in the normal edition aswell or can you only get them through the deluxe edition?

There are about 1000 players at peak each day. The game is not dying but pretty niche. I say it's the most immersive and fun multiplayer shooter out there but each their own.

It's easier to find a full game in Europe than in the US, so I'd say this game is worth picking up in your situation. Also, if I were you, I'd wait to see if RO2 pops up in a daily deal or until the last day of the sales. Hopefully we can see a large boost in the playerbase if it shows up in the daily deals.

I don't see the game popping out 15000 players in the near future but there will always, always be people playing this game for a few years.

Honestly what answer were you expecting to get from the RO2 forums? Of course, buy it. We need more players! Just kidding that sounds way too desperate. Buy it because it's good.

You have to buy it. It`s really worth the price.
It`s very cheap now.

It`s a great game.

We must keep supporting TWI.

The only problem with the game if the fact that its not incredibly easy, there is a bit of a learning curve. And if u trully want to be successfull u have to have pateince, dont run infront of peoples line of fire and becarefull when throwing grenades.

Other than that, enjoy, and dont let the TKs get you down.
