Default Weapon Ideas!

I know that these are extremely unlikely to get noticed but hey, maybe a modder may pick em up

  • Brass Knuckles - Seriously why aren't there any blunt weapons for zerker, i could list plenty but i only think 2-3 are really likely/reasonable... and lets be honest who doesn't wanna punch that fp in his giant head
  • Sledge hammer - this would be really easy to do since it'd basically be a fire axe reskin, of course it would be slower but much more powerful.
  • Baseball bat - A classic melee zombie apocalypse weapon... how'd you miss this one tripwire
  • Bolt action rifle - The lever action is one of my fav sharp weps but its kinda on the weak side, why not get a more modern one instead!
  • Flintlock - Only got one so make it count, a powerful but inacurate weapon, for the sharps who go, AIMING LOL WUTS THAT!!
  • A Miniature cannon - when i first looked at demo i thought RPG... then played pirate, vikings, and knights for a bit then i thought cannon... but how to make it work? MAKE A SMALLER ONE!!!
  • Flare gun - I took that one right out of tf2 but look at all the ****s i give
  • Mini gun, now whenever i play commando all i can think is, WHERE THE **** IS MY AA12 EQUIVALENT, well here you are heavy, slow, even slower reload, but extremely powerful and large clips (or mags or whatever you call em)
  • Blunderbuss - Caus why the **** not, YE OLDE SHOOTGUN!
  • ammo sack - weighing 1 block in weight to carry more precious ammo for your favorite gun.
  • defibuillator - it is devastating to see my friends lifeless rag doll, so why not bring him back, id work only once and only for 30 sec after they die/ they found remain in a kind of last stand but they wouldn't be able to shoot

well there you have it some ideas for weapons/tools hope you enjoyed

The only ones even remotely acceptable are the black powder weapons, that would fit in the steampunk theme, and the bolt action rifle that is probably best to implement as a lee enfield.

As for the rest, I'd bet 50 dosh that you use the dumb TF2 skin.

Blunt Weapons might be nice, but there is no real need for that. Maybe reskinning the Claymore into a baseball bat or sledgehammer would be nice.
But the real problem with that is, TWI had to code new animations, since chopping a head off with brass knuckles would look strange (even more than when you cut the neck of a zed with a vertically hold chainsaw).

Flintlock doesn't make sense to me. Just not useful. A stationary cannon on the other side might be interesting. You can deploy it somewhere and have to work on it quite some time (like welding) to load it. Maybe it could be moved VERY slowly to aim or reposition. (But you have to do this in advance as you won't be able to adjust it fast enough for threats that are already there)

Flaregun... what for? There's the Mac10 which ignites zeds instantly without any ballistics to think of and there's the Husk Cannon that ignites an area around the impact.
Only use of a Flaregun would be one of its actual purposes... lighting up areas.

Minigun... NO... not balancable.

Ammo Sacks... would throw over balancing in respect of the total ammo. Plus it would engcourage spamming of ammo.

Defirillator... could be a nice thing for the medic (NOT usable by other perks)
But really just for a limited time, maybe even just 15-20 seconds, so the medic really has to risk his life to reanimate somebody if the **** hits the fan. Plus the player who was brought back should have very little life. Maybe just 1.

There's just no use for any of these, except for the defib.

For example, what role could the blunts fill that aren't covered by the weapons we have? Plus we have too many weapons already, but these cons are only valid in-case of TWI development, so I don't see why not if someone wants to make a mut.

Lulwhut.

Also, do you know how long flintlocks take to reload, and also how poor they are in comparison to modern weaponry? Technology advances for a reason.

The only one I see as being reasonable is the flare gun, but it'd just be a mini-husk cannon, and I think a MAC-10'd be more valuable.

Sounds like a way to make the game easier.

The Defib would take away any notion that death is penalising you for making a mistake.

The Pyros of KF would still charge in with their axes as Firebug and yell at you for not healing them; but now they get to yell at you for not defibbing them every time they die as well?

And a Medic on HoE with Zerkers can rez their version of Devante if he ever dies and then death becomes meaningless.

none of those weapons would really fit in the kf list besides the bolt action rifle (i 100% agree)

whoever's up to it could just make these as fun mutators, no need to try to get anything into vanilla kf.

KF had a baseball bat in back as mod for UT2004, specifically the first version of it. But since it is Britain, I think of a cricket bat would be more appropriate.

deal with it, tell the mod author, instead of going begging to TWI for new weapons.

Half of these are already modded weapons. lol

Brass Knuckles - I wouldn't complain seeing them in. Although I think a trench knife would be better.
Sledge hammer - Made, although not whitelisted.
Baseball bat - Set in the UK, don't make me slap you with my CRICKET BAT
Bolt action rifle - BDs absolutely awesome and well made hunting rifle. Whitelisted as well.
Flintlock - Neither powerful or actuate.
A Miniature cannon - Serious Sam go home.
Flare gun - And it'd do what? Sizzle some skin? Already made as a tool.
Mini gun - No thanks.
Blunderbuss - No comment.
ammo sack - To much ammo alot of the time already. More for supports and commandos is to much.
defibuillator - no thank you.

Actually only the military issue muskets were generally inaccurate. The civilians were of a higher quality build and could be decently accurate. However it's no rifled gun.
