Default Available on Steam?

Simple question, really. There has been a game or two that have been put out on sale for charity, and they have been on Steam. IMO, Steam can really help boost sales - pretty much every game that comes out, no matter if it's some 8-bit indie title or the next CoD () it's always on the front page, and people who would have otherwise never heard of Break Blocks, will have heard about Break Blocks, and sales will obviously be boosted, and there will be more dosh for charity. And Steam rocks, anyway.

But I am curious at the same time about Steam - what are the steps involved on the business side of it all? Don't they make an exception for charities and stuff?

I like trains.

We are planning on getting the game on Steam, tho that's never a guarantee, as they have to accept the game. We're pretty sure they'll accept it, if not because the game is awesome, then perhaps because of our charitable cause, and last, but not least, Tripwire may be able to help in the worst case.

I'd expect it to be up there in a few months, as well as a number of other digital distribution channels, but the best way for people to buy it and make an impact will be to purchase the game through our website. Better yet, go ahead and pre-purchase it at a lower price now, or possibly go for the gold early and show your support with one of our other pre-purchase options.

Also, should the game make it onto Steam, the pre-purchase key will still be registerable on Steam, allowing Steam lovers to simply add Break Blocks to the rest of their Steam collection. So why wait? Pre-purchase Break Blocks now! =)

Wow, sorry for the horribly delayed response, ricky. Steam has rejected the game and our only chance of getting it on Steam at this point will be through Greenlight, whenever that launches. On a more positive note, though, we just released the iPhone/iPad/iPod version!
