Do you mean 150 meters in-game? Because at 150 meters in-real-life, I can identify almost everyone I meet. At double that, I can distinguish what kind of equipment they're carrying (Packs, etc). I spend each work-day waiting for the bus on a street 900 meters long, and I can distinguish individual people at the end of it. If you can barely see a person at 150 meters, you need to get your eyes checked...

In-game, particularly with the current maps, 300 meters is much further than you'll actually engage people at. 250 meter shots are rare enough.

Here's mine: a 2654 meter shot from my Pz IV against a T-34 at Kursk:

Here's what the size of a man looks like at around 300metres in-game (Ogeldow, the Village to the Hill). Can seriously go off aim with an accidental twitch shooting against thoes two gentlemen. At this range, you have to set your sights correctly, else your shots will hit well short.

...and I thought my 354m kill with a normal Mosin-Nagant was impressive.

This post explains that.

A pistol round fired horizontally with the ground while crouching goes +-90m I think, before it hits the ground. Here it goes +150m

Depends on what Pistol you're testing in-game. Keep in mind that 7.62x38 should have a high BC due to large weight + small caliber, and TT33 / C96 produce relatively high muzzle velocities.

this is not true. even the weakest pistol rounds would still be above ground level at 90 meters.
