Killing Floor Update 1036

We have just pushed out a required update to Killing Floor. This brings the game to version 1036.

Additions:

• Updated Abusement Park - Find the entrance to Hellride and Pop a Clot

Both clients and servers will need to update.

Nice feature, I have already seen that scenery in the side-show trailer.
Does the popping have any effect, or is it just an eye-candy?

pretty nice, not only the pop-a-clot but also the pukey head on top of the circus entrance and the dancing husk...
BUT you seem to have forgotten about whitelisting the current version of abusement park :X

This will be taken care of in an hour or so. It slipped our mind that the person who does that had stepped out for the day before the update went live.

This caused my server which was working this afternoon to refuse to connect with the error: "Failed launching URL Package 'Engine' version mismatch".

I know the update method has been changed but using the update tool implemented by gameservers last weekend no longer works (they had created a custom steam update under their mod group category).

Are there any workarounds I can do to get around this? I've submitted a support ticket with them as I realize most of the system files I would try (like replacing the main executable- I know...) are likely to have permission denied restrictions.

Any help?

I think it worked, because I was playing on normal, solo, and i was trying to get my suppport up, and after every so many shots from the shotty, I was able to see my level progress up with the shotgun damage thing. Although, I only had one update yesterday, so idk if theres another update to make the map whitelisted, or if that can be changed without doing an update

It wasn't ready last Thursday because of a technical issue. Once the issue was resolved we got the map out in a patch. The update to abusement park wasn't worth us holding back the entire event.

Updating breaks my servers. Reinstalling gives me a Windows install on a Linux server. Thanks.

It sounds like you are using the windows APP ID instead of the linux one in SteamCMD.

I got this game for Mac during the steam summer sale. Is anyone working on an update that will fix any of the many problems plaguing the system, such as my perks not transferring into any online servers. or the inability to host online games? is any of this going to be fixed or should I have just not gotten the game :/

A decent workaround is to install windows on your machine using bootcamp (google it). I'd advise in general to not bother gaming on a mac, the experience is just not worth it.

Um.....my Mac plays most games quite well, it is just this one tiny glitch.....I shouldn't have to get a windows os to play a game that is available on mac.
