Default (Huge thread) Sharpie balancing calculation sheet

That's what the topic says. Sharpie balancing thread consists of balance to ALL weapons in the sharpie weaponary.

Also, changing the perk bonus.

Chapter #1 Theory

First thing: Does KF really need a great headshot multiplier? My answer is NO. Reason is quite obvious though most don't pay attention to it: Zeds do own a head health which is much LOWER than body health. If headshot, you don't need to drain the whole body health to decap, if not killing it. (There can be a chance to decap without instakilling it, but pretty small.)

(Decap penalty: 2*decap shot damage+0.25*total health.)

(Analysis the headshot mechanics of other games)

Example: Counter-strike. AWP headshot. Basic damage 112, headshot 4x. That's a damage of 448 points. This damage is applied to the health of the target. The target has got only 1 health pool which means body health. A normal target own 100 HP and that's a instakill.

If described in a balanced KF way, the target got 100 body health and 25 head health. AWP headshot deals 112 damage

to the HEAD health. Instakill.

If described in the current KF way, the target got 100 body health and 25 head health. AWP headshot deals 448 damage to the HEAD health. Instakill.
Note that in the current KF, the damage of sharpie headshot is buffed in double way. The HS multiplier as well as the lower head health. This is buffed twice. The head health is LOWER than the body health which means headshotting damage more % of the zeds' health even without a headshot bonus. That's why most non-sharpie guns own a headshot bonus of 1.1x --- the big bonus is contained in the head health/body health ratio.

Giving sharpie a headshot bonus is a nature (almost all sharpie weapons own a greater headshot bonus such as 2x or 2.25x), but giving it a MASSIVE headshot bonus just buff it TWICE. This result is known as 1 Xbow headshot FP in ver 1011.2.

Highlighted: Sharpie doesn't need a great headshot multiplier to effectively kill the zeds.

Chapter #2 The blueprints of the project

Nowadays damage mechanics:
Headshotting: D*B*HS*HSB applied to HEAD health
Bodyshotting: D*B applied to BODY health
D equals basic damage of weapon
B equals perk bonus of weapon damage, non-headshot
HS equals headshot multiplier of weapon, offperk
HSB equals perk bonus of headshot (x% greater headshot bonus)

Greater HS and HSB result in a greater difference between headshotting and bodyshotting. HS is related to weapon while HSB is not.

A weapon with a great D and a small HS means great damage even without headshotting.
A weapon with a small D and great HS means pathetic damage without headshotting, but great performance if headshot. This is known as M14.
A weapon with a great D and great HS means great damage without headshotting, MASSIVE damage if headshotting. The massive damage can be as strong as thousands of points and 1-shot instakill sub-bosses such as SCs and FPs. This is known as M99.

Chapter #3 Calculation sheet

*Modified SS perk
No reload bonus, which means all weapons return to their original reload speed. M14 need more than 3 sec to reload.
30% greater damage on SS weapons
60% greater headshot damage on ALL weapons
***FP resistance is reset to 50% for all SS weapons***

*point of designing of sharpie weapons, especially rifles
(At LV6 SS 6 men HOE)

LAR: A light "sniper rifle" which is not very strong. Must be headshot to do decent damage. (Idea from Schmidt scout

from CS)
(I'll compare clots with a normal "player" from CS, which owns 100 HP)

1-bodyshot crawlers and stalkers offperk.
1-bodyshot crawlers stalkers and clots with LV6 SS perk.
1-headshot every trash offperk.
1-headshot trash and husks/sirens with LV6 SS perk.
Pathetic effect against SC/FP offperk.
1-headshot stuns SC with LV6 SS perk.

Calculation result:
Damage: 180
HS: 2.5x

Offperk bodyshot damage: 180. Instakill crawlers 123) stalkers(175).
Offperk headshot damage: 450. Instakill trash, kill husks/sirens(350~438).
LV6 SS bodyshot damage: 234. Instakill crawlers(123) stalkers(175) clots(228).
LV6 SS headshot damage: 936. Instakill everything up to SC. Stuns SC(>=667)

Xbow/Hunting rifle: a normal sniper rifle which kills trash with 1 bodyshot. Headshot do decent damage to

everything. (Idea from AWP in CS)
If xbow, slow reloading but pierces
If hunting rifle, rof as high as current xbow but with a 5-round internal magazine. Interruptible reload.

1-bodyshot most trash with LV6 SS perk.
1-headshot everything other than SC/FP/PAT offperk.
2-headshot SC with LV6 SS.

Claculation result:
Damage: 500
HS: 1.3x

Offperk bodyshot damage: 500. Trash exclude gorefasts. Gorefasts(438~766) on 1 men HOE.
Offperk headshot damage: 650. All trash including husks/sirens.
LV6 SS bodyshot damage: 650. Trash exclude gorefasts. Gorefasts and sirens depend on the number of men.
LV6 SS headshot damage: 1352. A bit lower than 2-shot SC and 4-shot FP. Probably add a little "weakness" against them. For example, a 1.4x weakness for SC, nerf the FP resistance to take 0.7x damage

M99: Anti-material rifle which kills almost everything up to SC/FP with 1 bodyshot. With a LV6 SS perk, kills SC with 1 headshot, and FP with 2 headshot. (Idea from M82 barrett in mods of CS)
***No pierce effect.***
It use .50 bmg and destroys everything regardless of what it is, which results in a low HS multiplier.

1-bodyshot most trash offperk.
1-bodyshot every trash along with husks/sirens with LV6 SS perk.
1-headshot SC. 2-headshot FP.

Calculation result:
Damage: 1280
HS: 1.25x

Offperk bodyshot damage: 1280. All trash exclude bloats. Bloat(919~2067) depends. Kill sirens(525~788). Husks depends(1050~1575).
Offperk headshot damage: 1600. All trash including siren/husks. SC(1138~2844) depends
LV6 SS bodyshot damage: 1664. All trash including sirens/husks.
LV6 SS headshot damage: 3328. All trash including sirens/husks. SC(1138~2844). 2-shot 6-men FP(3063) due to resistance. 1-shot FP up to 2 men HOE(1593).

M14: A chain-sniper which is focused on fire rate and damage. Headshot is a must to avoid spamming. (Idea from G3SG1 in CS)
preferably with a Scope, probably the FN FAL's scope

Bodyshot do pathetic damage, regardless of whether perked or not
Headshot kills most trash in 1 shot

Calculation result:
Damage:80
HS: 4x

Offperk bodyshot damage: 80. Pathetic.
Offperk headshot damage: 320. All trash. Seriously injure husks/sirens(350~438)
LV6 SS bodyshot damage: 104. Pathetic.
LV6 SS headshot damage: 665.6. All trash including husks/sirens. Note this will NOT stun SC.
