Agree on that, it's a pain to be an riflemen atleast, no way that you could advance at the same rate as it was before the patch :/ And the game get's quite boring if you have to camp your way to win. Atleast on a map like granary :O |

Lots of members of W.B team were disgusted when they tried to play CD in classic mod. And I agree with them. In some situations reinforcements become useless because people have no time to reach capture area. So, I vote for realism

CD classic for me is the most tactical mod in RO2.
But currently maps of RO2 are not prepared for clan matches. Capture zones are too exploitable. They are allowing to capture an objective without any shots. |

Two issues with Realism Countdown:
1. Role Distribution. Invariably, competitive or clan matches result in games where teams fill all five squad leader roles, the commander slot, and the elite rifleman slot, since the semi-auto rifles are by far the dominant weapon in CD. 2. Realism Weapons Handling. Competitive CD is where we see beyond dispute how insufficient Realism sway is. No matter the distance, if two opposing players spot one another in a competitive CD game, one of them is going to be dead within the next two to three shots. Firefights are a matter of concealment, spatial awareness, and reaction time, not marksmanship, since below 150 yards it's far too easy to interrupt your sprint, snap up your weapon, and squeeze off an aimed shot. From at least a spectating point of view, it would be far more exciting to see competitive players playing with Classic weapons handling. That headshot on a barely exposed player at 150m suddenly becomes genuinely impressive. I mean, during the Scorched Earth tourney, matches on Fallen Fighters often saw up to half of each team eliminated by medium to long range snap shots within seconds. You'd see the Manpower drop from eight players on a team to four in an instant. The lethality is alltogether too high in Realism.

Sorry but I just don't see this. At all. Lethality is always too low, mainly because games have to adapt to a more arcade style player base. In RO2 the weapons do fair damage if you play classic mode, in realism mode they don't. All my very own opinion of course...

By lethality, however, I'm talking about the ease of killing another player at long range. As soon as you notice someone at long range in Realism, it's just too easy to pick them off. The life expectancy of someone sitting in a window in the Spartanovka Church, for example, is perhaps several seconds.

I just wanted to mention that there is now a new game mode, CTF. This may be something worth looking into as far as clan play goes. It has potential to be good.

Yep we are aware of it and awaiting a full public release in order to evaluate it.
If its a game type that people enjoy and proves popular then we will seriously consider it for the ladder.
