Default Tripwire's Wiki - Modding Section

So I had this idea. Bare with me on this, I'll try not to ramble to much.

Now I'm a sucker for learning, I -love- learning, it's why I dived head first into modding and was trying learn as much as I could as fast as I could. It's why I'm still studying Science and recently theology even though I'm now in my mid 20's. One of the things I noticed is that there was no central place where you could simply find what you needed, a thousand websites with a thousand different ways of doing things.

Now as some of you maybe aware TWI set up a wiki all about them and their games. And on it is a KillingFloor Modding section.

So this is what I propose to the experienced modders, let's turn it into a repository of knowledge. It won't take much, if only one or two people took say, 15min a week to add something. Even if it's just moving their tutorials and such from the forums and into the Wiki. It will very quickly fill up. And then there will be a central location for all the modding info related to KF and even Unreal to some extent.

Once we've got some done in English, we can then get in touch with our none English speaking friends and work with them to translate the information into other languages. I maybe thinking rather over ambitiously but as I am incredibly fond of saying, "Always aim to educate, not exclude."

I quite like how this is going. I personally have been doing my own wiki recently (http://www.fluxiserver.co.uk/wiki/) which shows all my projects (and others if really wanting the space). No one can just create/edit stuff on there before you try as i've locked it up as my site is being targetted by idiots.

Seeing a modding wiki section would be really nice and helpful for so many people as going on a forum doesn't make it easy finding exactly what you want whereas the wiki is straight forward I guess.

I don't mind if people vandalize wikis that are bad, like Conservapedia, but yours deserve none. What's it worth vandalizing wikis that are good or informative?

Not to be a jerk or anything, but if they don't speak english, how exactly would they translate the information that was done in english?

But overall, I think it's a great idea

I was meant it in the sense of those for whom English isn't their first language. For example I know peeps that could possibly help me translate into, Dutch, French, Spanish, Russian and Japanese. Maybe some others.

Just giving this a little bit of a bump to see if I can encourage some input.

While I've added a little I've been unable to add anything regularly. But it's a start right?

Personally I have no idea what to put on it. I have on the other hand been doing loads of other bits (like over work due to collegues off etc). I could easily do a tutorial on a simple mutator to do ready made mod changes to things like weapon capacity etc. Maybe some other things like how to rig characters and so on.

What do you mean? I am personally making a wiki for my own projects and I will allow the other odd person to be able to add their project to my wiki if they really want but I need to know I can trust you with editable rights.
