Default What happened to the Role Selection interface?!

The current role selection menu was never a problem until I saw what it could of been.

In this video, at 11:06, the role selection looks so unbelievably awesome. What my problem is what we were left with. I get the whole "war is hell" theme, and I support it, but come on. Tripwire, I mean no disrespect, but why??

The "Defend the Fatherland/Motherland" with the soldier close up just looks epic with the faction color.

Sorry, I'm making this post from my mobile.

You know what was even better? The team/role selection screens from Ostfront. Why they strayed from them is beyond me. All part of making the mainstream players feel more at home, I guess.

The authentic pictures were pretty boss aswell. Time for role pictures maybe? To make it snug more interesting?

It should be coupled with the squad selection screen. Or at least have the squad select screen the default. This would definitely increase teamplay, helping you know who is in your squad.

yeah I would love to see a screen with the commander role up top, in a chain of command diagram, like

I agree. I played this game for the first couple of months without even knowing there was a squad selection menu. However having to suicide when you change squads aren't exactly promoting squad awareness either.
