So, we had some thunder and electrical storms last night/early this morning. Nearly soiled myself several times...

Look in the image properties for the technical details

Yeah, spectacular shots man. What really gets me is it's 97 degrees there while you're getting all of those nasty storms. You know that doesnt happen here on the PCoast. I've never experienced muggy of that magnitude

I'm guessing it was some branches and stuff got blasted down by the lightning.

There's my Tardis.. I'd wondered where she'd gone .

I like this shot because of the gradients of green and the feeling of distance with the visual depth being in thirds .

Thanks, I'm glad I saw this since it was somewhat far from the road. My eyes were glued out the car during my trip in New York, but I figured this really needed to be photographed hah.

It's a road?? I was sure it was some kind of canal or small creekbed with lots of debris

@AsoBit: I know, I know! There's a face in the trees somewhere right? Right?

A few from Bristol and the South-West (UK):

And one from a recent trip to Amsterdam:

Thanks guys. In which case - a couple more...

I have to admit I just loved wandering around Amsterdam feeling very relaxed, with the beautiful evening light streaming down the long narrow streets - it had a wonderful golden quality and intensity without being harsh.

I was in heaven with a wide-angle lens and a good manual film camera to play with. Getting strange looks as I stared straight into the setting sun, jumped out from behind corners to surprise cyclists, or simply ended up crouched in weird places trying to get interesting low angles.

A few people come up to me to ask what I was photographing. So I got them to stand or crouch where I was and put the camera to their eye and enjoyed seeing their sudden understanding as I used the aperture preview button. I also loved the look of shock and surprise on their face when they asked if I could show them the shot I'd just taken and I turned over the camera showing them it has no screen and said, "no". Amazing how quickly people have forgotten that image preview hasn't always been available and that film still exists.

These pics are the rest of the few I took over a few minutes on one street. You can see in the image in my previous post a passer-by with a camera phone on the right of the frame who obviously noticed I had found something that interested me so decided to try to capture it with his phone.

Sounds like a nice day. It's always fun reintroducing people to cameras of the past. I always get asked about my TLR when I go out shooting with it.
