I gotta say I'm glad you pushed for this BenioX. I wish that music could be packaged into a map like other things so that everyone that plays could experience it. Anyways here's a peak at what's comin.

Spoiler!

I just have to adjust volumes but other than that I have 16 SH tracks put into it.

you could put in a message trigger somewhere that says where to download the music from.

Not sure if that's a compliment or not... and still I wish you added more Nightmare-themed spots but well that's just my opinion and taste
But as for music, well, I thought more like this kind of music while at traders:

And any like those while waves:

And for Patriarch fight something like this:

JUST MY TASTE ^^

@BenioX, it is a compliment. It's me saying that although I did not agree with you at first I saw the benefits of doing what you suggested.

As far as my music selection how do you know I didn't use any of the songs you just posted? All you saw was a 30 second youtube clip. I picked tracks from this site http://www.silenthillmemories.net/music/sh1_osts_en.htm.

That website is NOT just Silent Hill 1. It has everything from every game including fan music. Around 500+ tracks from my count. That list on the left part of the website provides you with any game and whether you want original or complete soundtracks.

I'll upload music version of map tomorrow. Hope it's to your liking BenioX.

And thanks for the siren trigger ideas ro_sauce, I went with the siren trigger upon trader doors closing and it seems to work well that way : )

EDIT: Video removed Due to potential copyright infringement

Ive never come around to actually playing a Silent Hill game before, but I love the music that you put into the map. Once its released, Il defintly besure to give it a spin. I honeslty dont care if its whitelisted or not, for now, it looks good and I want to play on it lol

I am thinking... do you think they'd let me modify shiver to make a Nurse, and if I do that, I'd give it to you and you'd implement her to the map somehow? Just theorethical question

As for music, wow, now that's epic ^^

But still, could you also make a nightmare version of it?

Here you go

EDIT: Files removed due to potential copyright infringement

I have never done music separate from KF like this before so if something doesn't work I'm sorry, please let me know what happens.

I chatted with ro_sauce yesterday and he has some neat ideas for the map I might look into that would make it more "nightmarish".

As far as shiver being turned into a nurse, that is too much custom stuff for people to download. I'm drawing the line at having people download seperate .ogg files to have music a music version of map. I'm not saying that if someone made it I wouldn't use it, however I am not going to push for it.

I understand... oh well

EDIT: Will it run for whitelist? (Both music and without music versions?)

EDIT2: I just played with the music version... well, I am kinda disapointed by one fact: They're damn low
I heard somewhere it's something caused by KF though, dunno fix...

Turn up your music volume in Killing Floor. I turned mine up to about 40% while keeping my stereo at normal playing volume and it sounded fine.

yikes..are all the music samples encoded at 128kbps 44khz? 55mb when compressed to .uz2 ..

i was really hoping for some more classic and recognizable silent hill tunes such as theme of laura/not tomorrow (sh2), lisa's theme (sh1), promise reprise (the movie/sh2). these are the best tracks in the SH universe and i'm sure you could find some way to incorporate them into the map in keeping with the mood - while they may not be as ambient as the tunes you have chosen, perhaps they could be well suited for trader time or something.

very much so looking forward to the final version, thanks for posting the work in progress!

The way I did the music makes the files the same size in relation of song length to MB used as the tracks that came with Killing Floor.

Promise reprise is in the map : )

I wish I could select music that would make everyone happy but you know how people are, it's a matter of personal taste for different people as far as what the "best" of anything is. I could put every single track you want into the map and two days from now someone would post here saying they don't really care for the songs I put in and make suggestions for what would be better.

Thanks for checking out the map and letting me know your thoughts : )

yeah. I played on this map over the weekend, and the feeling of the map, is amazing. I really like the music too. It ouwld be interesting to make the whole "tw worlds" thing. Even if its that the first X waves are regular, but the final wave takes place in "the otherworld". All in all, I really like this map

I first played that map yesterday and yes, i like it too .
If you were able to implement the otherworld it would make the map even more impressive, but <my opinion>:
In your current map the two concepts (fog world, otherworld) are already mixed to strong. I think you should overwork the map and remove a lot of the supernatural elements before adding the otherworld. So you would get a better contrast. </my opinion>

Lol, I wasnt the guy who made the map, it was swift who did it. But I understand what your saying, and that would make things better for the map
