Regarding the Uber Tuber achievement.

I haven't seen this mentioned in a thread yet, sorry if it has been, posting here instead of bug reports since I figure more people will see it.

There's a very annoying bug with the current instance of the Uber Tuber achievement and the Steam overlay.
If the person who purchases the potato has any windows open in their overlay upon buying it the window for the achievement won't be able to open. So whoever the buyer is needs to make sure they shift tab first and close everything, web browser, chats, friends interface, etc.
After you buy it a window will open where you enter the password "failed experiments", everyone in the game will then get the achievement.

I was very frustrated by this bug the first time I bought the potato after spending 2 hours farming money with people on Aperture by jumping / healing and gathering weapon spawns.

Karsey told me this theory when he got the achievement on his second try and I confirmed it when I got it.

Hopefully this post will save a few people some trouble.

^^^^^^^ sorry merde didn't realize this at the time when we were discussing this. I have a feeling this little bit is going to cause a lot of confusion during the event - you can get the golden potato on it but not the uber tuber.

I don't think any window opens after purchasing the potato, At least not in the game that we got it on. After buying it, the little achievement notification showed and that was it. But, just to be sure, all chat windows, friends list, etc. should be closed like you said.
