Much like myself Beirmann has been a little busy lately. I will be posting an update here soon so people know whats going on with the unit/project Barrikady, unless beirmann has already made an update in the PB thread.

Well I put Project Barrikady on hold for a while because I never play RO2 at the moment because I'm not really enjoying it and also the SDK is horrible..

So I guess I've put it on hold until RO2 gets updated and I start enjoying it or if a good realistic mod comes out and the SDK gets better.

Thanks for asking though Jano

Default Historical Update!

Gliederung einer Pionier-Bataillon
(im verbande einer Infanterie-Division)

A historical update outlining the organization of a pionier-bataillon as part of an infanterie-division. This is an early-mid war organization, and will no doubt be of interest to some. I have not listed vehicle types and numbers and equipment types and quantities as that would take a considerable time investment, I however do plan to add that at a later date.

If i can say one thing positive about this unit its that their signatures don't go by that bloody Ostheim (Is this right, i can't remember the guys name?) template that every other fash unit and their mothers use.

Thanks Lyosha! I quite like our current sigs, they are growing on me. At first I was quite skeptical about the splinter pattern on the overlay.

Edit: Yeah it was Ostheim who came up with that basic layout for the SS units. Although there has been a lot of variation on it over the years.

Giuliano,

Let me just give you a heads up as to what we are currently doing before you invest too much time and effort into scoping out our unit. We are current conducting most of our activities in Darkest Hour 44’-45’ as we have numerous battles lined up in that mod.

We are still maintaining our RO:HoS server and will continue to do so. However we will probably not be going back into HoS full-time for a few months at least. So if you want to join, make sure you have a copy of RO:Ost and DH installed.

If you want anymore info send me a PM and I'll give you my contact details.

But you have to give Ostheim credit, Trollface :P.

Does anyone even play this game anymore?

Umm.... I don't think so, we have been playing DH for like the last 3+ months. We have had quite a few good battles in DH recently and have plenty more lined up. So if you want to get in on all the action you'll have to join the 305. (Edit: Not you specifically Fleck I mean that in General to anyone.)

Eh, I was thinking of how much I miss the old community the other day. Waaaaay back when when there were a dozen+ German units and Viktor with 181st slaughtered us all :P.

All Russian units since the 181st have sucked, they have no fight in them at all! However in DH there are a couple of allied units that are quite good, the 29th ID and 113th Cav. Group. All the other western allied units I have seen come and go have generally been very sucky like the Russian ones.

We have had a few battle with the 29th ID recently their Able and Charlie companies seem to be a good bunch. As for Baker and Dog.... well, we'll see. Things are going so well in DH now we are even planning another campaign.

Hey, is it true that the 305 is mostly playing DH right now? I'm looking for a German RO2 unit. Thanks.

Yes we are mainly playing DH at this point in time. We are more than willing to come back however there are few things holding us back.

1. Game still not quite at the state where we would like it too be, hopefully it will be more to our liking once these new game types and mega patch comes out.

2. Lack of decent maps!

3. The worst is the complete lack of any community in this game, if we did come back there would be nothing for us to do. There's nobody to fight!

So if you like DH then we are possibly what you are looking for, but its more about the friendship and camaraderie rather than the game we play anyway.
