Is the beta dead?

Hey guys please excuse the hyperbolic title!

But after looking numerous times today and in the past it seems that barring the occasional weekend flurry of 20 or so players I never see anybody playing the beta of this fantastic, revitalized game .

Am I just looking at the wrong times or is it really just very empty at the moment? If I were to play right now (admitted it's 1.30am GMT) I would only have bots to play with.

I cannot wait for the patch to the base game and the free weekend it will hopefully get this game the size of community it so rightly deserves!
