Please help me!!!

I know this is going to seem like 100% BS but here it goes....

I'm an avid Killing Floor player. I gained Level 6 berserker, level 5 field medic, level 3 or 4 Support Specialist, level 3 or 4 commando, Level 4 sharpshooter, level 2 firebug, level 4 demo, (and I don't know if I'm leaving anything out) but all of that is now gone.

Reason being. I brought a friend over to my house from my old school so that he could try Killing Floor because he had been looking in to buying it. I let him play for like 20 minutes while I went out of the room. I came back and my sharpshooter and commando were LEVEL 6?! WHAT?! I looked at the stats. 8000 STALKER KILLS?! This had to be unlegit. I should have remembered that my friend had a thing for "Cheat Engine". So later that night, I ask him what he did. He said he downloaded cheat engine and used it to somehow get my perks hacked. I was so angry because I wanted all of it legit, and I was so close to getting all the characters (the event characters). I then got scared of a VAC ban, so I did some research. I found that about a week after your perk or perks are hacked, you get VAC banned unless you reset your perks, as I was told by one of the Tripwire Interactive administrators (supposedly). So I reset my perks and now I'm upset because I lost all my hard work. Is there any way that I can get my perk levels back, and will I still get VAC banned even if it isn't my fault?! I know how people fake saying their friend or brother or whatever did something to their account, but I'm being serious and I don't care if you don't believe me, but this is some serious crap that I'm in and I don't want to get VAC banned for something I didn't do because this is my most favorite game of all time ._. I'll be uploading a video about it on YouTube and I will include a "Click to Tweet" link to tweet this forum post to Tripwire Interactive and also the video explaining it more in-depth.
