Yes, yes aaaand yes! :3 When it comes to those taking the piss I just laugh at them and continue flaunting furriness just to make them angry or if they think of me as a sick person for indulging in dodgy sex acts or zoophilia (the kind of thing that disgusts me) I facedesk and explain what I am as a furry - just a guy who likes his little 'sona, no more, no less.
I'm glad you like it! I'm contemplating commissioning some artists to do more drawings with it after a lot of misfortune with not being able to enter contests or being turned down by those offering freebies due to not having enough "references." This is the only other drawing I have, sadly. I still like it, though.

Yes indeed. The class is just titled "Dinosaurs" on the course list.
Part of our grade is even scraping out fish fossils from lake sediment.

That's... silly. Ask them to draw a fursona because you have a lack of reference pictures of it; And they ask for reference pictures... That's... quite a loop there.
Also it's a good drawing. Like any other artist and image, it has room for improvement; But what was that drawn with? It looks so fuzzy that its an interesting style.
Who needs encylopedia's when you could collect the weekly magazines that gave out a few bone pieces that glow in the dark; To collect them all to make the whole dinosaur! /ggFFFF- I was obsessed with dinosaurs when I was little

Well, it was drawn in Gimp. It was ages ago so I don't remember fully how I did it, but if it's any helpful info I'm what they call a "furry" drawer. It doesn't relate to anthro characters in any way, but it means that I'm the kind of person who has trouble drawing perfectly straight lines and perfect curves, so for example, to make a "perfect" curve, I make loads of individual little penstrokes and the end result makes a "furry-looking" curve.
I suck at explaining.
Anyway, it's not a bad thing at all, but it kind of takes me away from certain drawing styles but naturally, I'm better at some others. I've found that my semi-realistic drawings come off better than my cartoon/manga drawings. Example. I assume that my "furry" style was inherited from my dad, and even my half-brother shares this (they're both amazing artists, IMO) Here's something my bro' did. If you look very closely, you can see the furry in the drawing and how he's smudged it to get rid of the stray lines.
He often inks over his work very carefully which helps get rid of the furry effect. (NSFW-ish)

Having your own art style is great. I love the 'fuzzy' style, and I think more people should do it.
I find sketching to be better than line art / realism. I see line art / realism done way too much in everything that it's just lost its taste of uniqueness.
Even if your drawing is fuzzy, that's your style. Plus, fuzzy style fursona... Why not?

That's the beauty of it! Still, like a tard, I've been trying to get into the cartoony style with very simple (although perfect) lines. But as you know, I suck with lines. Every style has always seemed so much harder than the other to me, but now I think of it, it's all down to the person... Just like picking perks in KF.

You can always try for Pixel Art. Draw the basic line and then use the mouse to clean and adjust the lines. The guy who does this comic has an OCD for straight lines, he said so himself - And I think that art's good too o:
