I searched and it was difficult to find any kind of discussion on this topic.
Is it possible to make KF support special characters in player names? I've changed the web admin interface to use UTF-8 so peoples' names seem to show up as intended there but the game itself still displays names incorrectly, obviously because only the uweb.int file was modified. This is how a name showed in the web interface: Ыυđșħστz This is how it shows in-game: ЫÏÄÈħÏÏz Is it possible to change a file on the server so the game displays these special characters properly? |

Actually I got almost same issue when it comes to KF names and fonts. But it's not as complicated problem which people might know already too well especially from Russians:
Spoiler!

It's an established fact that Killing Floor doesn't support special characters.
My ingame name for source games such as CS:S zombie mod and (shamefully) Love 4 Dick was Candlejack, but with fancy spelling utilising special characters from everywhere. They're not supported. I'm not sure why, but maybe Killing Floor/Unreal Engine only supports ASCII and not Unicode.

iirc KF uses a texture based font. Tied up to ASCII encoding, which is why there are so many problems. (I think) There is a work around for this, check the modding section, YIN did some work in getting Japanese and a couple of other special character sets to work.
