The limitations of zoom are:
- low fov window on the game world - slow to scan the environment: scanning an arc of 180° takes alot of time and mouse movement The former cannot be changed; low fov is the definition of zoom. Regarding the latter, simply increasing zoomed mouse sensitivity (a lot) is not a solution, as it would make aiming impossible. I propose to introduce a free look button. While in free look and zoomed, mouse sensitivity would be a lot higher, allowing smooth viewing of the environment. Further more, pressing iron sights would center your gun to your view. Other benefits of free look are: not moving your gun/body unnecessarily and being able to look left and right while sprinting.

I'm all for this. Since I first used free look in ARMA2, I've felt it should be used in just about every FPS since then, this game especially.
When running from cover to cover, the ability to check where fire is coming from without changing direction to do it, would be tremendously helpful. |

Has TWI considered adding support for TrackIR? I use it a lot in ARMA2, and its very imerssive/intuitive. I love that thing...
