Default Import models to add skins

(Do you think that was the the wrong section for this question?)

Spoiler!

I found interesting patterns on the Web, all in. OBJ files
I can only open them with maya (I only have that program to open the 3D formats)
Someone who has experience in this field, can you tell me the procedure to import the models and ensure that they are visible and playable by all players?
if you can give me a tutorial or explain the process?
I am inexperienced, but willing to learn how to create mod.

Map/World objects need to be converted/saved as .ASE and them imported directly to static meshes in the KFED.

New mesh's that are to be animated (player chars or weapons) need ActorX to get animations and meshs into the psa and psk formats for the Unreal ED.

Look for Braindead's tutorials, stickied at the top of the general modding subforum, for all the details you'll need.
