[Question] No product code .

I bought the game from best buy like everybody else, took it home opened it tried to install, no cd key, I can't find my receipt and it has been opened, best buy told me I out of luck, so what happens now

If all else fails and you live in a country with consumer protection you could try contacting the authorities.

You could always try PM'ing Yoshiro.

Same thing happened with the copy of Red Orchestra I bought at Best Buy today - no activation code in the package. Apparently Best Buy didn't get them all off of their shelves. Sent Yoshiro a PM with a scan of my receipt. Hope he's still on the job.

Just bought the game today and discovered this, lucky was able to stumble onto this forum to get help.

PM'ed Yoshiro as well as E-mailed on the main tripwireinteractive site.

BestBuy, No insert, manual or key.
Found post on Steam Forum that led me here.
Followed instructions posted here. thanks for posting this Yoshi, and the rest of you. Now just waiting on key.

i have same issue except i didn't buy it from best buy. would a receipt from the other store suffice?

yep. take it back to the store, get your money back and then purchase and download from steam. or get a replacement at the store and open it up right there and look for the activation code.
