You still probably won't get it, since modders would focus on French and British first and then stop there. But we can hope can't we?

This game NEEDS a Western Front mod..like, NOW. Heck, maps relative to Normandy and D-Day should even be included, because even though these battles and operations have been done to death, they have NEVER EVER been done with RO2's level design, graphics engine or game interface. Omaha Beach, Carentan, Caen and other areas would be TOTALLY DIFFERENT if Tripwire applied the same mechanics they have added to RO2, to a D-Day simulation. Of course other operations like Operation Torch, Market Garden, Anzio and Bastogne would be great.

If TripWire could manufacture a game in which the M1 Garand, the Lee-Enfield, the Thompson gun, the Sten, the BAR, the MG42, the Bazooka, the Panzerschreck, the PIAT, the Springfield and other weapons are modeled as faithfully as the weapons in RO2, they would make a KILLING. How do I know? Because Day of Defeat-a WW2, Western Front-themed shooter-is over five years old, but it STILL commands a loyal, respectable following. And this game is NOTHING compared to RO2 in terms of level design, ballistics, realism, etc.

So....it is my opinion that Tripwire make a Western-Front themed mod/game, with all of R02's fundamentals.

I'd like a Western Front Mod for RO2, sure.... but since I've played MoH, CoD, BF, DoD, and a tonne of other WWII FPS's revolving around the US vs. Germans, I'm so damn sick and tired of it all.

I'd much rather prefer a Western Front Mod that revolves around some of the other Allied forces other than the US...... The same US weapons and the same battles over time gets real old.

Americans also like playing their own history, when you are playing foreigners there is a detachment. Personally I'd love another Normandy mod, but I'm obsessed with all facets WW2.

That is why I have 600 hours in Men of War Assault squad.
One of the reasons why I got into RO in the first place was because it was all about new battles, new foreign weapons to try out & see how they operated their weapons, their tactics, etc. etc..... it wasn't the same old weapons, on the same old beach, using the same old everything.

If you had a game that focused on, say, the British/Canadian/Australian forces, or the French Resistance even.... anything other than the same old US vs. Germans, I'd be happy.... cuz then not only would you have new weapons to play with, but you'd also have new battles, new areas of Europe to experience, new history being covered, etc.

And yes.... Darkest Hour had British/Canadian forces, but the greater majority of servers ran mostly US vs. German, and the design of the Commonwealth weaponry in DH was dismal.

And if I'm not mistaken, the Canadian soldiers in DH just had the American voices, which was kind of lame.

And of course Mare Nostrum had a whole different feel to it, focused in an entirely different area of the world and had Australian forces (as well as Italy).... but the game seemed to have died faster than it was released.
