Windows Movie Maker, allthough easy to use, is very limited in it's functionality.

Cyberlink PowerDirector offers a little more options, and should also be sufficient for every-day-use

I prefer to work with Adobe Avid, allthough that's a bit hefty on the costs and ressources. Also, it's quite hard to get into.

I've been making In-Game Movies or Machimia for a log time now...

I would recommend starting off with Windows Movie Maker, we've all got to learn and start from somewhere.

When you've made a few movies and are comfortable with it I would recommend checking out Sony Fraps and or Aodbe Preimer. These are the two programs I use to edit my footage.

Also you may wish to look into getting the Professional version of Fraps and a program so that you can encode your movie. This will help you strike a balance between File Size and Quailty. You don't want to go to either end of the scale because it'll either A. put people off downloading it or B. put people off watching it.

I am in the process of creating a Movie Community for Call of Duty 2 and Red Orchestra....

Post your results once you have finished....I can offer friendly tips if you'd like them....

Only Windows Movie Maker and Fraps are free.

However the free version of Fraps has a 'www.fraps.com' watermark at the top and only allows you to film 30 seconds of footage before timing out or something.

You can crop the top off in WMM and get rid of the watermark
